$12.19 - $12.50/hour (depending on experience)

25 hours/week (Monday-Friday; hrs tbd); 9 month position. Non-Benefit eligible, Arizona State Retirement System.

rn Summary of Function:
rnResponsible for supervising student workers and overseeing operations of student operated business called Flag High Screenprinting. Assisting the teachers with paperwork, correspondence and special events related to the programs in the graphic design department.

rn Typical Tasks:
rnrn
Instruction and supervision of students daily in the full operation of the business on a full time basis (Monday thru Friday).
rn
Processing purchase orders.
rn
Ordering and maintaining inventory and equipment operation.
rn
Administering and grading all written work, quizzes and tests for the Flag High Screenprinting Associates and Student Managers.
rn
Overseeing creation of displays and advertisements.
rn
Maintain grades and attendance records.
rn
Communicate with parents, counselors, teachers and members of industry.
rn
Help with the tracking and verifying of student competencies.
rn
Assist teachers with special events such as registration fair, open house and career fest.
rn
Assist teachers with CTE Student Organizations (CTSOs) activities.
rn
Light to heavy cleaning of the shop depending on event and time of year.
rn
Weekly shopping responsibilities for inventory and supplies.
rn
Perform daily deposits.
rn
Perform managerial duties such as: scheduling workers, evaluations, verifications, etc.
rn
Assist students in classroom activities relating to the business programs.
rn
Assist teachers in classroom activities relating to the business programs.
rn

Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively with students and teachers. Must be honest, dependable and prompt. Skill in supervising and training students.
rn
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a work load.
rn
Basic understanding of record keeping, spreadsheets and inventory management.
rn
Basic understanding of marketing concepts.
rn
Use of general office equipment, such as: computer, phone, fax, copier, scanner, laminator, digital camera and audio visual equipment.
rn
General retail knowledge, cashier functions and cash balancing procedures.
rn
Willingness to learn new techniques and training on various equipment and programs.
rn
Maintain a professional environment that follows and supports school policies.
rn
Knowledge of basic word processing and spreadsheet software.
rn
Ability to learn and implement new software.
rn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
