Lakeland Tool & Engineering, a full-service custom precision thermoplastic and thermoset mold builder and molder for the worldwide market, is hiring Press Operators
for it's Anoka, Minnesota
location.
Press Operators operate automatic and semi-automatic injection molding machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Additionally, operators perform manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, ban, tie pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials. This position observes operations and inspects packaged items for conformance with specifications and tallies, weighs, stacks and arranges products and packed containers.
Essential functions of this position include:
Maintaining quality by visual inspection of each part; compare parts to startup, trim, clip or torch off excessive plastic from parts when necessary; maintain computer database with defects
Properly pack, label and stack each shipping container with plastic parts; maintain accurate log sheets and box counts; keep up with grinding when necessary
Use proper procedures in operating an injection molding machine; must be able to read Picture Packet, IOP and Bill of Material
Assist other operators with grinding and rework as directed by the Supervisor; maintaining a clean working environment is essential
To be successful as a Press Operator, you must have the following:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Picture Packet, IOP, procedure manual and safety rules
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
