Job Description:
Scope:
This position is responsible to operate the CNC Turret Punch and CNC Brake Presses and support the production team, including New Product Introduction. Plan, layout and perform fabricating and assembly operations on sheet metal products, operate machinery, punch, press or saw metal products to meet business demands. Produce a variety of parts to meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environmental with a high volume workload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-



Set-up and Operate a turret punch press and Brake Press. Prima Finn or Amada experience required (or like type of turret)





-



Understands program format, works from operational data defining and coding tooling and machine arrangements.





-



Arranges, mounts and secures tooling in turret.





-



Calls up program in machine control and correlates machine position with program





-



Manually cycles machine through operational sequence to check work holder positions, tooling, clearances and speeds.





-



Adjust machine from console to correct deviations from program specifications.





-



Ensures strict tolerance requirements are maintained in the manufacture of parts.





-



Recognizes, reports and works closely with programming personnel to correct errors.





-



Recommend tooling applications and operations sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual punching requirements.

Diagnose minor repairs





-



Perform first piece inspection. Segregates and reports defects produced.

Promotes and supports the maintenance of a safe, accident-free and healthy work environment





-



Supports and maintains machine maintenance procedures





-



Maintains tools library and recommends sharpening and maintenance of tools and guides.





-



Perform all other duties as assigned in other departments to meet business demands.

Follows all company Safety and ESD Program requirements.





-



Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors/managers safety hazards and issues.





-



Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department.





-



Responsible to report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow directions identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
-



Good computer skills; experience with CADD program desired.





-



Previous experience in leadership role desired.





-



Good English communication skills, verbal and written.





-



Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills. Good math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.





-



Demonstrated experience working with varying degrees of precision and control in work.





-



Ability to read engineering drawings.





-



Solid working knowledge of sheet metal and welding techniques.





-



Skill in fabrication, installation and repair of sheet metal and related products or equipment.





-



Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.





-



Ability to list up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, up to 9 hours a day.





-



Ability to train other operators to safely operate equipment and/or manufacturing systems.





-



Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; multitask and prioritize effectively.





-



Reliable, trustworthy, flexible.





-



Ability to work with limited supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.





-



Regular attendance is an essential job function for this position.





-



Ability to work extra hours beyond regular work schedule and is flexible to work weekends when necessary.





- Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
Education and Experience:
-



High school diploma or GED is required. Trade school or technical school preferred.





-



2 years experience as a set-up operator; operating and programming Amada/Prima-Finn/Haco or similar CNC Turret Punches and/or Brake Presses required.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
